Crothix Liquid Thickener

Liquid Crothix, with 45% active ingredients, is an efficient liquid thickener designed for water-based surfactant systems. Its easy-to-use, cold mix compatible nature makes it ideal for crafting economical and rheologically superior shampoos, body washes, shower gels, liquid soaps, and other soap-based products. Requiring no neutralization and free from nitrosamine byproducts, it often imparts a ‘conditioned’ feel in rinse-off products.

• Shelf Life: Store items in a cool, dark, and dry room, ideally below 85°F, for optimal shelf life of at least two years in their unopened containers.

How to Use the Thickener:

Crothix Thickener effectively thickens products like shampoos, bath gels, and liquid soaps. Simply blend it into your formulation at room temperature, as it typically doesn’t require heating. For optimal results, you might gently heat it above 50°C before mixing into a cold surfactant base. The blend usually remains clear, but ensure the pH is 5.0 or higher for best performance. Some formulations might turn hazy, so it’s advisable to test individually. For very viscous formulations, heating can facilitate easier stirring.
