Is a Solubilizer needed?

A solubilizer, such as Fragrance Modifier, is needed if adding fragrance or essential oils to a water-based product. It is best to small batch test this prior to mixing your entire bottle. Pre-mix solubilizer with fragrance/essential oil before adding to the base. Start at a 3:1 ratio of Fragrance Modifier to Fragrance. Depending on your specific fragrance oil, a ratio of up to 4:1 may be necessary.
