Fractionated Coconut Oil

Fractionated Coconut Oil, is a highly refined, odorless, and nearly colorless oil derived exclusively from coconut sources, with no palm oil used. This oil undergoes a fractionation process to remove most long-chain fatty acids, leaving mainly Caprylic (C8) and Capric (C10) acids, resulting in an oil that remains liquid at lower temperatures. Its versatility and stability make it a popular choice in cosmetics, skincare, haircare, and aromatherapy as an excellent carrier oil. Fractionated Coconut Oil is celebrated for its quick absorption into the skin, leaving it hydrated and non-greasy, its ability to penetrate hair for a glossy finish, and its natural makeup removal properties.

Regular Coconut Oil is obtained from coconut pulp. This coconut oil is further processed using process called Fractionation to separate out most of the Lauric Acid (C12) and other long-chain fatty acids. The resultant oil contains primarily Medium Chain Fatty Acids – Caprylic Acid (C8) and Capric Acid (C10). This is called Fractionated Coconut Oil/MCT Coconut Oil. It is also called Liquid Coconut Oil as it stays liquid even at lower temperatures.
