This is a water-soluble additive that is gluten-free and derived from oat protein. It is a clear light tan to amber liquid that can be used at levels ranging from 1.0% to 10.0% in various cosmetic formulations. It is ideally suited for providing conditioning and moisturization benefits to skin and hair. The pH of a 5% solution of this additive ranges from 5.0 to 7.0, and it is readily soluble in water. The shelf life is 12 months from the date of purchase, and it should be retested before use after this time.

I use this in my lotions, and really like the great feel and properties it adds. I only need a small amount for each batch, so this lasts awhile. I love that SES has high quality ingredients, but at great prices!
