Germall™ Plus is a highly effective, broad spectrum preservative for emulsions and aqueous formulations. As a liquid, it is perfectly formulated for both water-in-oil and oil-in-water emulsions, this product is also ideal for creams, lotions, makeup, and other highly pigmented items. However, it is not intended for use in aerosolized products.
Germall™ Plus Product Details:
- INCI: Propylene Glycol (and) Diazolidinyl Urea (and) Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate
- Appearance: Clear Vicious Liquid
- Solubility: Water Soluble
- Suggested Use Levels: 0.1-0.5%
- Storage: Protected from direct light and humidity at a temperature of 50°-77°F (10°-25°C)
- Shelf life: 12 months, properly stored, in sealed container.
- Liquid Germall Plus is effective over a broad pH range from 3-8.
- Add to Cooling Phase of your formulation 50°C or less.
Germall™ Plus Usage Limitations by Country:
United States and Japan:
- Not permitted in aerosol products
- Authorized for use in creams and lotions
- Authorized for use in rinse-off products
European Union (EU):
- Prohibited in oral hygiene and lip care products
- Not allowed in products for children under 3 years, except in bath products, shower gels, and shampoos
- Prohibited in body lotions and body creams
