Derived from rapeseed oil, BTMS-50 is a natural, eco-friendly alternative to synthetic emulsifiers. The emulsifying wax pellets help offer a silky feel and light, whipped appearance to lotions, creams, and hair care products.

BTMS-50 Conditioning Emulsifier (Behentrimonium Methosulfate and Cetearyl Alcohol) is a vegetable-based ingredient that enhances the texture and efficacy of hair and skincare products. The emulsifier creates medium-bodied emulsions and acts as an effective conditioning agent for hair and skin products. It conditions hair making it easier to comb. BTMS is known to help reduce hair frizz.

BTMS-50 emulsifying wax is highly effective at creating stable oil-in-water and water-in-oil emulsions and is typically used at concentrations between 1-10% depending on the formulation and desired texture. However, using too much can result in a heavy and sticky product. It works well with a wide range of other ingredients, including oils, waxes, and botanical extracts. After using this one time in lotion I sold the rest. I left a review once but the company decided I was a liar because I had sold the product – except I tried it beforehand and it doesn‚Äôt take more than one batch to know that I don‚Äôt scent my lotion heavy enough to cover the HEAVY fish smell. This is not LOW odor at the slightest but anyone who has less than a 5 star review gets told they‚Äôre wrong and deleted. Lovely business practices 🙂

I have no complaints upon my first use of this. I stumbled across better pricing on this site and went for it. No regrets.
