BTMS-50 Conditioning Emulsifier (Behentrimonium Methosulfate and Cetearyl Alcohol) is a vegetable-based ingredient that enhances the texture and efficacy of hair and skincare products. The emulsifier creates medium-bodied emulsions and acts as an effective conditioning agent for hair and skin products. It conditions hair making it easier to comb. BTMS is known to help reduce hair frizz.
BTMS-50 emulsifying wax is highly effective at creating stable oil-in-water and water-in-oil emulsions and is typically used at concentrations between 1-10% depending on the formulation and desired texture. However, using too much can result in a heavy and sticky product. It works well with a wide range of other ingredients, including oils, waxes, and botanical extracts.
